Khwaja Khizr Tomb in Sonepat

The Khwaja Khizr tomb was built by the saint and son of Darya Khan who lived there during Ibrahim Lodhi rule. It was built between 1522 and 1525 AD. Stands on an elevated platform, this structure is one of the few monuments where sandstone and kankar blocks were used in its construction. The ceiling of the building is made of multicolor floral designs. It has a cenotaph chamber, which is surrounded by a dome-shaped structure resting on a small drum of octagonal shape. Surrounded by four acres of gardens, this monument is now under the protection of Archaeological Survey of India.

Abdullah Nasir Ud Din Mosque of Sonepat

Situated on the outskirts of Sonepat and national highway, the mosque of Abdullah Nasir-ud-Din is recognized as one of the oldest Muslim shrines in North India. It was built for giving great dedication to saint Abdullah Nasir-ud-Din who was the successor of Mushid of Iran.
